Site Tweaks and Additions - 2008-03-02 23:52:21

After a programming hiatus, I did a few tweaks to the site today, including modifying the display code for the site. It should now be slightly easier to change and to add new sections to the site, as well as to meddle with the primary site template.

Had to fix the song search function, because it was ... well, it did nothing at all, actually. It's working now, and you should be able to search the lyrics section by lyric, by album or song title, or by liner notes. Also did a few more forum tweaks for overall prettiness.

I'm still adding in the actual songs (and details), but the song lyrics section should be open for your perusal, and should have all band songs in it within a few hours. You'll note that unlike previous additions, this section actually consists of two separate page types - a table display for listing many songs, and a detailed view for displaying lyrics (and other notes). I'm going to probably borrow this technique to modify the Tour Info and Multimedia pages next time I work on them, so that things are much less cluttered there. What do you want to see worked on next? Let me know here, and that'll be my next priority!

Tour Information Page Functional - 2007-10-19 19:57:07

Our Tour Information page is now operational (version 1.0); I'm still adding data to the table, but the page allows you to browse through the table, search it and display matching results, and choose how many items you want to see per page. Planning on adding an advanced search option for more advanced searchiness, and adding slightly more control over how you view the tables.

The forum is also functional - it could use some pretty colors and maybe a bit more restructuring, but hey, it works! (Incidentally, this is the fourth newspost made, so this'll also test whether the news pages work, too!)

For now, the Previous News page holds -all- previous news articles. Eventually, of course, it's going to sort by year - otherwise it'd get too messy eventually. For now, though, it's up and should show all news articles - whereas the front page should show only the three most recent news bulletins.
